Corporate Team Building
What better way to improve skills than by bringing your team for a Team Building event at Action Stations.
Whether it’s a whole day’s worth of activities or just an hour worked into a conference day, Action Stations is the place to come for your company employees to get to know each other better and work together in teams. We can offer half and whole day packages tailored to suit your group. The day can include some or all of the activities listed below, but please contact us using the form below to advise us of your specific requirements.
All Action Team Challenge (1 hour Approx.):
Delegates are placed in to small teams of no more than 8 and undertake a number of challenges including:-
Human Knot - Delegates are put into a knot with a rope and they are to work as a team to get untied without releasing the rope from their hands.
3-Kick - Delegates are required to take it in turns to stand before 3 posts that will light up in different places at 3 different heights. The aim is to hit the lights as quickly as possible in order to score as many points for your team as you can. Team members are encouraged to help each other by calling out where they see the lights.
Rotating Wall - Delegates take it in turns to test their skill by climbing the rotating wall for an allocated time without falling off or stopping the wall. Points are awarded or deducted for this challenge.
At the end the points awarded are totalled to find the winning team.
Rocket Workshop (1 hour approx.):
Working in small teams of no more than 8, teams are required to purchase materials with "Action Stations Currency" to build a rocket which is then fired from our cannon. Points are awarded for:
- The best made rocket
- Distance travelled
- Best rocket name
- Least money spent.
Our amazing 2 storey arena is an excellent way to "kill" an hour chasing each other down on opposing teams with our laser gun equipment. 2 games are played over an hour with each game lasting 20 minutes with a refreshment break in the middle. The break is a great opportunity for the teams to view their score sheets from the first round and analyse their strategy for round 2! Great fun!
Codes & Cipher (1 hour approx.):
Working in teams of four or five, you are issued with a code and cipher book, a cipher wheel, a linear scrambler and a scytale. Their task is to decipher numbers which have been fiendishly enciphered by the Action Stations Spy Master. It's a race against time as each number identifies a container. The first team to correctly decipher the number gets the first chance to find the container. The only problem is that it's hidden amongst five hundred identical (but differently numbered) containers! So sharp eyes and panther-like reflexes are a must!
Treasure Hunt with Secret Codes:
Split into a number of groups, teams are set loose around Action Stations with their maps and special code cracking devices. Each team will have its own individual trail to follow, navigating around Action Stations in a race to be the first team to return to base after successfully solving all their secret codes.
Mini Boats Team Challenge (seasonal / Extra charge - please check):
Blind driver - one team member is blind folded and the rest of the team have to guide them around the course.
Numbers - Bottles floating in the water, each with numbers inside, the fastest team to collect bottles totalling the largest value.
Relay race - Race against the other boats to the end of the pond and back, swap team members and go again, see who is the fastest team with all members having had a turn at driving the boat.
Fastest one to the bottle - Everyone at the ready in their boat? Fastest boat to the bottle wins!
"Boomwhackers" - Making music:
The boomwhacker challenge is a fast paced musical activity that breathes life into any company, motivating and transforming your delegates to sound instantly united and can be cleared away within moments to let your meeting continue!
These incredibly portable and colourful instruments are perfect for conference ice breakers and energisers. Within seconds each delegate will be given a brightly coloured tuned Boomwhacker, that when struck, produces a note. With a little guidance from our facilitator, what follows is a fast flowing session of melody and rhythm that will lift the energy of the room, leaving the group feeling uplifted and with a great sense of achievement.
Numbers may be restricted for some of the challenges, so please ask for more information.
